BlueSky Turf installs a heavy-duty synthetic turf mini-field for multiple sports and play use. The mini synthetic field is approximately 1/3rd size of a regulation soccer field, but will serve as a high impact and multi use facility. “Trying to optimize smaller areas to accommodate heavy use and traffic is always a challenge,” stated Hank Julicher of BlueSky Sports.

Blue Sky Turf completes the UCSD dormitory rooftop expansion project in San Diego, CA. as a series of facility renovations and new buildings that will help to modernize the existing campus infrastructure and create green, energy compliant facilities.The design utilized a combination of new chic materials with unique contemporary finishes to tie the natural look of the turf and wood elements to linear glass, aluminum, and steal extrusion pieces. The use of rooftop synthetic turf was intended as a mixed-use area for relaxation and observing the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Finding a place on campus for quiet time and general lounging is a bit difficult when enrollment is at an all time high, and space is at a minimum.

Thanks to the foresight and leadership of the Mayor of Bayamon, Ramon Luis Rivera Cruz, the Municipality of Bayamon and the Puerto Rico Islanders now have a new 100,000 sf state of the art synthetic turf soccer pitch to play games and practice on. The field material is made of special UltraFiber G4 DF grass blades developed and installed by Blue Sky Turf Inc. of the USA.
