Thanks to the foresight and leadership of the Mayor of Bayamon, Ramon Luis Rivera Cruz, the Municipality of Bayamon and the Puerto Rico Islanders now have a new 100,000 sf state of the art synthetic turf soccer pitch to play games and practice on. The field material is made of special UltraFiber G4 DF grass blades developed and installed by Blue Sky Turf Inc. of the USA.
Philadelphia, February 4, 2010 - Blue Sky International announced today an initiative to donate multiple synthetic turf soccer fields, as well as provide hundreds of soccer balls and other sports related equipment to L'Athletique d'Haiti, an after-school sports programs that serves as a positive outlet for over 1500 children from ages 6 to 17 in Cite Soleil and Bel Air, the poorest slums of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. One of L'Athletique's soccer fields is now home to 525 displaced Haitian families who are encamped in makeshift tents.
Valley Forge, PA - Students at Montessori Pre School in Valley Forge were given a chance to play on two brand new, safe playgrounds on Tuesday, thanks to a team from Blue Sky International who installed two state of the art synthetic turf safety surfaces for the new playgrounds on the school's campus.
