Blue Sky International Installs Artificial Turf for the playgrounds at the school

October 26, 2010
Valley Forge, PA - Students at Montessori Pre School in Valley Forge were given a chance to play on two brand new, safe playgrounds on Tuesday, thanks to a team from Blue Sky International who installed two state of the art synthetic turf safety surfaces for the new playgrounds on the school's campus. The senior leadership team Blue Sky International, led by Russell Lyddane, Director of Blue Sky Sales; guided this project to its completion. This playground project was built in an effort to provide a setting for safe, healthy physical activity for the students of Montessori Pre-School, with the goal of decreasing preventable injuries and contributing to the healthy development of the children in the community.

"Through every detail of the project, Blue Sky International has been sincere in their efforts to help our children have a safe, fun place to play," said Jill Gutteridge, Principal of Montessori Pre-School. "It was clear at every step that the children's welfare and their learning and playing environment were to be improved for their benefit." The playgrounds meet all the Head Injury Criteria (HIC) requirements for a child's fall height and also have been fully approved by the American Disabilities Act (ADA).

According to Safe Kids Worldwide, preventable injuries are the leading cause of death for children under the age of 14 in the U.S., with more than 14 million children sustaining preventable injuries that require medical attention each year. As part of their mission to help build healthier communities, Blue Sky International has invested greatly in treatment substances for infill systems used on playground surfaces. Blue Sky International uses only the best raw materials to produce their synthetic turf which is fully tested and approved by ASTM certified laboratories. The components are 100% recyclable and are safe for the environment.
